Simplified Issue Disability Insurance

     Insurance companies continue to loosen up the underwriting requirements for Disability Insurance.  Many occupational classes have been upgraded over the past few years which has lowered the premium.  In addition, insurance companies have increased the amount of coverage available through their Simplified Issue process.
​     Obtaining Individual Disability Insurance through Simplified Issue allows you to avoid an insurance exam and proof of financials.  Scheduling an exam and digging up last year's tax return can be time consuming.  Although this information is still asked of you, health questions & income amounts, the insurance company will come to an underwriting decision with just a completed application and phone interview.  A review of your medical records may be required if there is medical history that the insurance company would like to look into further.
